U is for undulation

LifLG says:
undulation (un-joo-LAY-shun) noun
a steady up-and-down or to-and-fro motion; sometimes used as a fancy word for speed bumps

My adorable infant loves undulation; it always seems to soothe him. Experts say that babies enjoy movement because during gestation they move with the motion of their mothers' bodies. We've found that motion is one of the two best ways to calm our darling. This is so true that I purchased a stability ball, in his first weeks of life, on which we could bounce during his fussy jags. It works so well not only for general fussiness but for gas, fighting-sleep syndrome, and restlessness. Who knew there was a $20 solution to all of those complaints?
